Signed, limited edition print of a quail. Printed from a digital drawing onto Marrutt archival paper.

The Californian quail is a highly sociable bird that often gathers in small flocks or "conveys". Found along the west cost of America, one of their daily communal activities is a dust bath. Like all quails they are ground dwelling, laying their eggs in shallow scrape lined with vegetation or hidden by shrubbery. The Californian quail is easily identifiable by its drooping crest of six feathers that adorns both male and female birds.

For personalisation (hand lettering/background colour edits) please get in touch and I'd be happy to discuss options. Please note, this may incur an additional cost.
