Oyster Catcher

Oyster Catcher

Signed, limited edition print of an oyster catcher. Printed from a digital drawing onto Marrutt archival paper.

The oyster catcher is a member of the wader family, over 100,000 breeding pairs visit the UK each year, although numbers have declined in recent decades. Their main diet is naturally oysters, but they also eat other bivalves like mussels or cockles, they tend to breed on the coast, although increasingly birds have been spotted further inland. Easy to identify due to their bright orange bill and the distinctive white v-shape on their wings when in flight.

For personalisation (hand lettering/background colour edits) please get in touch and I'd be happy to discuss options. Please note, this may incur an additional cost.
