Signed, limited edition print of a goldfinch.

In the 19th Century goldfinches were captured and sold as pets. Kept caged with canaries for their beautiful song, they often gave up their native tweets in favour of imitating the canaries. Due to their habit of eating thistle seeds, the goldfinch has long been associated with Christ's crown of thorns and frequently features as a symbol in Christian Art.

This is an unframed print from a run of 300. Available in two sizes: A4 (210x297mm) and A5 (148x210mm).
