ABOUT
who am I?

I'm a freelance illustrator and graphic designer working from my studio in Surrey and currently studying for an MA in Illustration at Portsmouth.
My illustrations cover a range of topics, but if it was up to me I'd spend my time drawing animals and architecture.
Having studied English at University, I have an enduring love of language and the interplay between written and visual art. Naturally, I particularly like working on editorial illustration, whether it's a children's book or a fashion magazine.
I work mostly with pen and ink, sometimes with gouache or watercolour, and I often enhance (read: fix) my work digitally.
My favourite artists are Franklin Boyd, Aubrey Beardsley, Alphonse Mucha, Toulouse Lautrec and Arthur Rackham - anyone who plays with line and straddles the worlds of art and commerce.
When I'm not drawing, I'm usually reading, watching rubbish TV, or cooking overly-ambitious meals.
